I Resolve... To not Resolve...







Oh boy, 2015... What can I say about this year? It was really a great year. Got to travel to Florida and to Sturgis. Got out of our tiny little cracker box apartment into a house we absolutely love! Got a new car to replace my shitty little LHS that died on us. Everyone is relatively healthy. 

I always make New Years resolutions and I always seem to fail myself. I do have some areas I need to improve on, but I'm not calling them resolutions this year. These are GOALS!! These are things I HAVE to do this year in order to keep my sanity and better myself, because if we aren't bettering ourselves day to day, year to year, what's the damn point of it all? 

2016 GOALS: 

1. Get fit: oh boy, this is the same every year, and I start off pretty well and then fall off the wagon. I have somewhere between 70 and 80 lbs to lose in order to be at a healthy weight. However, I don't want to just lose weight. I want to be super fit with muscles and stuff ;) 

How to get there:
- clean eating: duh!! Stop putting crap in my body!! Back to the 21 Day Fix!! 

- 10,000 steps a day: there is no reason I can't do this, and I have a fancy FitBit, I need to use it to the max! 

- lift: get back to my Beachbody programs!! I'm a coach, I need to be walking the walk! I'll be doing the Challenge Du Jour (challenge of the day). If you'd like to join me, you can get a free month here: 

2. Replace my income: since they got rid of level pay at my job, I no longer get a paycheck over the summer, so I HAVE to replace my income. This means either getting a new full time job, getting a summer job or really hustling my side hustles! 

How to get there:

- HUSTLE!! Power Hour every day! 

- Get a following: post more on social media and step WAY out of my comfort zone and start posting videos! 

- Be a product of the product: drink Shakeology, work out daily!

- Read self development books, listen to podcasts, etc. 

- Finally finish putting my office together. 

3. Develop a body of art: I really want to get back into art. I have this huge desire to learn to both draw and hand letter. So much so that it is becoming a bit of an obsession. 

How to get there:

- Deliberate practice: every damn day!! I will practice the following every day: 
   * hand lettering/brushlettering
   * drawing
   * Copic coloring

- Photography: it's been 3 years since I've consistently picked up my camera.  I'd like to start doing some personal photo shoots for the sole purpose of getting reference photos for drawing. 

4. Be happy! I'm actually really happy right now! I want to stay that way. 

How to get there: 

- Bible study: I've been saying every year that I'm going to read the entire bible... I've yet to do it. This is going to be my year! 

- Meditation: basically I just need to find a way to destress, so I think this might work. Even if it's only 5-10 minutes a day. 

- Put systems in place to make life easier: I already have an established morning routine, but I feel like I need a bedtime routine, because that might help me sleep better. 

- On that note, sleep better!!: I only get about 4 hours of sleep a night. I need more than that to function. I'll try to get to bed earlier after an established bedtime routine. 

- Journal: write things down. I have this blog that I neglect horribly! I need to blog at least once a week!! 

I think that's plenty of goals for right now!

I do have a list of rewards for my weight loss goal that I'll add here. I feel like it's important to reward yourself for a job well done. I'm also going to start paying myself $1 for every day I hit 10,000 steps. I'm motivated by money, because there are a lot of art supplies I want to purchase!! Some of these rewards might change if I decide to buy them before I hit my goal lol

Goal 4: -50 lbs: 170 or Waist size 32" - New pair of cross trainers

Goal 6: -60 lbs: 160 or Waist size 30" - Blackwing Subscription
Goal 7: -70 lbs: 150 or Waist size 29" - Anchor tattoo and wrist quotes
Goal 8: -80 lbs: 140 or Waist size 28" - Lionheart tattoo
Goal 9: -90 lbs: 130 or Waist size 27" - New wardrobe - shopping spree!!
