Birchbox March 2014 Review

It's Birchbox time!! Woot!! I got both my Birchbox AND my Ipsy bag today, so I am definitely a happy camper!!:) Birchbox is a monthly lifestyle/beauty subscription box. It is $10 a month, and when you subscribe you get 4-5 sample products per month. You can use my link to join, and we can both get points! (You can use points to get free products!)

This month the theme is Spring Forward.

Each box comes with a little card that details all the items inside your box.

This month, I received 4 regular samples and a Birchbox "Find."

[the product]: My Find was Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream [1 fl.oz.]

[from the card]: Birchbox Find Alert! Inside this month's box is a Birchbox Find, a mass-market discovery we've come across that we think is awesome. Don't worry--these products are in addition to your usual samples, never in place of them.

[the color]: All Light Skin Tones - this is good, because I am pretty pale!

[from the tube]: 5 beautifying benefits in one moisturizer for a flawless appearance.
Hydrates, illuminates, evens, firms, and corrects.

[my thoughts]: I LOVE the smell of this!!! Seriously!! I am getting this in the Target beauty box that should be coming any day. I am super glad to be getting more of it! I honestly can't stop smelling it! I will review it on it's own after using it for a week or so!

[the worth]: Around $1.00

[the product]: Keims Cleanshine Energizing Shampoo [1.69 fl.oz.]

[from the card]: This invigorating cleanser fortifies and nourishes strands for a silky-smooth finish.
Apply to wet hair and massage into scalp. Rinse thoroughly.

[from the tube]: The writing on the tube is soooooo small!!!
What I can read says: 0% mineral oil, 0% silicon, 0% parabens... however, the teeny tiny little print on the back reveals that the shampoo does have sodium laureth sulfate as it's second ingredient, in case anyone is avoiding that...

[my thoughts]: It has a nice clean scent. I will try it out, like I try everything out, but I am not super excited about it. It's a nice size sample and I could see throwing it in my travel kit.

[the worth]: Around $1.90

[the product]: Supergoop! City Sunscreen Serum [10 mL]

[from the card]: This anti-aging serum, which creates a weightless UV shield, can be worn year round.
Apply a thin layer in the morning. Wear alone or as a primer under makeup.

[from the tube]: Anti-aging UV damage repair complex. SPF 30. Protect, moisturize, repair.
Helps prevent sunburn.

[my thoughts]: This doesn't really have a scent, other than smelling like a mild sunscreen. I don't really know about this one...

[the worth]: Around $8.40

[the product]: Grand Central Beauty S.M.A.R.T. Skin Perfecting Serum + Primer [6 mL]

[from the card]: Botanical-rich formula that hydrates skin while providing a silky-smooth base for makeup.
Morning and night, pat onto clean skin and under eyes. If desired, follow with makeup.

[from the tube]: For dryer skin types, follow with moisturizer. Optional: Use under makeup as filler & primer, esp under eyes.

[my thoughts]: Again, not really a scent (yeah, I am a scent girl lol)... I will try using it as a primer and see what happens. I am assuming a little goes a long way, because this sample is TINY!

[the worth]: Around $8.16

[the product]: INIKA Eyeliner in Green Lagoon [full size!]

[from the card]: Organic meets *au courant* in the eco-friendly brand's rich, mineral-based liner.
Trace along lash line, from inner to outer corner. Bonus: The lid doubles as a sharpener!

[from the tube]: 100% certified vegan, not tested on animals. Free from talc, parabens, bismuth oxychloride, fragrance, fillers and GMO ingredients. Made in Italy.

[my thoughts]: I think this is the product I am most excited about! It's full size, for one! Woot! The color is pretty, it has a sharpener on it, and it goes on really nice!

[the worth]: $20.00

There's a swatch I did... damn my hands are starting to look old!! ACK! I need to moisturize! lol

[Total box worth]: $39.46!!
Not bad for $10, huh!? What did you get in your box!?
