My first Birchbox!

Received my first ever Birchbox last night!!

About Birchbox:
Birchbox is a beauty subscription that sends 4-5 beauty samples for $10 a month. You can also earn points towards full-size products by reviewing your samples (10 points per sample review = $1.00).

I actually love the little box it comes in! I'm definitely going to be savings the boxes for storage or crafty things!

Each Birchbox comes with a card that details all the sample products that are inside the box.

Aww! Look at that cute little pillow box! :) yeah, it's the little things that make me happy :)

My products:

Harvey Prince Hello [full size is $55, sample worth about $2.] I spritzed this on my wrists first thing and I'm pretty picky about perfume, but I still keep smelling my wrists! It's really pretty. Scent is: Meyer lemon, mandarin, grapefruit, forsythia, and plumeria... So it's a citrus/floral scent and it's pretty light... Not over-powering or old lady scent! Always a plus!!

Skin&Co Roma Truffle Therapy Serum Boosting Anti-Aging Serum [full size is $75 for 30mL, this is a 5mL/0.17 fl.oz sample worth $12.50. This sample paid for the entire box!]

This is really nice! It goes on silky smooth and has a really nice coconut-ish smell but not overpowering! There is definitely enough in this sample to really try it out! It really makes my face feel nice and soft!

Beauty Protector Protect & Oil [full size is $21.95. The sample is around 0.2 fl.oz and is worth around $1.30. It is a hair oil that depends against UV rays, heat, and breakage. The card says to work 1-3 drops I to damp hair or to the ends of dry hair. It does smell nice! :) I put it on my hair after my shower this morning and I can't really tell a difference... the full size bottle is a spray bottle... and this is just a little glass vial, so it's kind of hard to get it all over your hair.

OPI Sheer Tints in Don't Violet Me Down [full size is $9 for 0.5 fl.oz. Sample is worth $2.25 for 3.75 mL.]

I'm not sure how much I'll use this because I just don't use nail polish that much. I have several bottles of Julep polish that I got when I subbed to that box... And I never use it. This is a tinted top coat that "gives nails a wash of high-shine, translucent color." You can also wear it alone.

Harney & Sons Fine Teas (this was the Lifestyle Extra in my box and it's perfect for me, because I love tea!!) [Full size is 20 wrapped tea sachets for $9.60. I got 2 which had a value of $0.96.]
The flavors I received are Paris (black tea with currant, caramel and citrus) and White Vanilla Grapefruit (pretty self-explanatory... White tea infused with vanilla and grapefruit). I was really excited to try Paris, so I boiled water (cheated as used the Keurig) and steeped the tea and tried it straight like that. Then added whole milk and Truvia like always, and I have to say... It's just OK. Kind of like every other tea with caramel I've had... No caramel taste at all!! Disappointing! But it is drinkable. I will try the white vanilla grapefruit this morning.

So $19.01 worth of products for $10.00! Not bad!!

If you want to earn some Birchbox points, and you want to get your own Birchbox each month, please sign up using my link so I get some points too! :)

I'll be reviewing my first Ipsy bag sometime in March! Can't wait!
