Weight loss tip #2

Tip #2: Weight loss is 80% what you eat and 20% exercise. Abs are made in the kitchen...

You can workout all you want, cardio, weights, whatever, but until you get your diet in line, you will not lose weight and consistently keep it off. I know you like junk food... who doesn't? Well, the answer to that is YOUR BODY DOESN'T! Our bodies are made to run on REAL food... not synthetic crap created in a laboratory.

I am not saying you can NEVER have another Cheeto or Reese's Peanut Butter Cup... but these things should not be the bulk of your diet! The majority of your diet should be REAL food, such as lean meats, vegetable, fruits, and healthy fats such as coconut oil, olive oil, nut butters, etc. If you read the ingredients on something you wish to buy and you cannot PRONOUNCE them... steer clear!! Think whole foods!

Notice I didn't list grains as a healthy choice. I am not saying you must give up grains... I am saying you need to make an informed decision and decide if grains are something your body tolerates. I am allergic to gluten, so I don't eat it, but I also don't eat a lot of other grains, such as corn and oats, because my body doesn't react well to them. I would suggest doing the Whole30 program to see what your body tolerates and doesn't.

Another things I try to not eat a lot of is dairy, because I am lactose intolerant. I do still LOVE my cheese though! ;)
